Bottle at GBBF 2006. Thanks to Ungstrup for this. Crystal clear chestnut colour with thin beige head. Sweet aroma of malt and nougat. Syrupy. It’s strong in alcohol. Burnt flavours. Just way too strong, but good toffee flavour.

Bottled. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, plum, malts and some caramel. Flavour of alcohol, sweet burnt sugar, plum, malts and caramel. A bit gluelike sweetness also as it goes a bit water. No aftertaste.

Bottled 750ml #5799 (BB 06/2006). Amber color, no head. Toasted barley, candy sugar and burnt brown sugar in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted bread, sugar in toffeish palate. As expected: warming. The first impression is that this is a bit too simple, but after sipping more this feels better and more complex.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a very dark orangey brown with a beige head. Rather discreet aroma of hard roasted malts and coffee. Full, solid body with rich accents of hard roasted malt - edging being burned. Wellbalanced - never any ashy edges. Distinct coffee notes while the mint really shines through in the finish. I believe this is a bit underrated. 280706
