Bottled. Black, with a small tan head. Aroma is quite unique, with coffee, soil, mint, mushrooms, roastiness and spices. Flavor is not as interesting, but still good, with coffee, mint and roasted malt. Full, sweet body and a finish with some alcohol and roasted malt. This beer should be enjoyed with food or snacks, the flavor is a bit boring if not. (060704)

Bottled. Amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has licorice, hops, malt and some spicey notes. The flavor is the same. Sweet and light sticky on the palate. Nice beer, but not a dubbel. (060518)

[Bottle] Pale, hazy yellow colour with a large, thick head. Malt and citrus on the nose. Light mouth feel. The flavour is citrus with notes of toffee and bubblegum. On this hot and sunny day I found it very refreshing and thirst quenching.

[Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Hazy pale yellow, very brief head. Metallic nose with a touch of sweaty socks. Medium sweet with light body and rounded mouthfeel. There are some wheat malt character and coriander, but the sweaty, unclean fruitiness, boiled vegetables and excessive sweetness is making in Heineken-like. You can’t make a beer style supposed to be a refresher this sweet and mushy.

Draught. Clear dark brown colour. Almost no head. Mild roasted flavour, reminding me more of a brown ale than a dubbel. I cannot pinpoint the camomile, but there is a certain acidic afterfeeling that might stem from it.
