75cl bottle from Sainsburys. Now I’ve had a couple of these Jacobsen beers in their bizarrely shaped bottles and not been entirely convinced by them. This however is a different breed. A rich crystal clear gold colour with sparse white head. Lovely Belgian yeast, estery aroma with great hop presence. I had this with a pepperoni pizza with extra extra mature cheddar and it was sparkling. The malts are a little lame, but I do like the mango fruit and alcohol. Spritzy Saaz hop finish. Daft I know and with not much class or style, but there is something about it. A bit like James Bond, but in Chavtastic Burberry.

Bottled. Clear amber, rich head. Candyish caramel aroma. Extremely sweet with medium body and clean, hard mouthfeel. Cinnamon tries to overcome the syrup but fails, and my tastebuds drowns in a sticky mess.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, amber golden with a tiny, off-white head. Lightly tart aroma with some yeast. Medium bodt, yeasty with lots of minerals and a very saline edge. Dry finish. Odd and not overly pleasant. 281006

Off the tap. Very brown color to this boy here. Liquid bread taste as many brown ales are, so that was good. A little sweer, but not excessively so. As people said before, this is better than the other Carlsberg beers, but I would still rather have a good old American Brown Ale instead of this. But hey I would drink this beer again. It wasn’t bad.

(Bottle) Dark amber/brown colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Spicy nose with toasted notes of caramel, toffee, dark bread and wort. Fruity taste with notes of orange marmalade, chocolate, caramel, peaches and plums. Slightly roasted and rather sweet. Short and sweet finish with modest traces of hops and notes of chocolate chip cookies. Better than Carlsberg beers usually are, but far from the likes of Mikkeller and Ölfabrikken. An ok brown ale.

Hazy amber color. It’s a very ordinary Ale with a peculiar aroma of cheap chocolate; the flavor is more boring.
