Dark amber to brown beer. Didn’t really like the smell and taste very much. Mouthfeel is close to perfect for me.

About 100ml poured from a bottle at Ølfestival København 2011. Thin ring around the rim of the glass, nice and clear, dark amber body. Malt-fruity nose. Brittle caramel flavour added by spicy hops. Oily palate. Pleasant (Copenhagen, 28.05.2011).

Bottle thanks to Kan! Pours black with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma is full of roasted malts with a good amount of coffee and just a bit of backing dark grains. Aroma is full of roasted malts with a growing coffee note and just a bit of underlying dark chocolate as well as a hint of anise.

Bottled (BBE 2013)
Deep ruby color, small beige head. Strong aroma of dates, toffee, chocolate and dark malts. Full-bodied. Smooth palate. Toffee-fudge, warming alcohol, hops, dark malts. Extremely well all flavors in balance. A big suprise and super beer (at least 4 years old bottle).

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours beautiful copper with an off-white head. Aromas of warm sweet malt and spiritous fruit. Full bodied. Heat isn’t important until the gullet. Flavor is smooth, pleasant malt with a light astringency. Suggests wood barrel.

330 ml bottle at Olympen, Oslo. ABV 5.0%. Cloudy orange colour, moderate head. Moderate sweetish aroma, hints of honey, caramel and some fruit. The flavour is fairly malty with a moderate fruitiness, but a bit dull - not much bitterness here.
