9th August 2018
GBBF Day 3. Cask. Almost clear orange - amber beer, tiny apricot colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable superfine carbonation. Mellow bretty funk, not that savoury. Hibiscus generic fruits. Little floral fruits. Finishes light and fairly dry with the Hibiscus generic fruits echoing back. Very easy going.

12oz can pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up mostly pine hops and then thin bits of floral and citrus hoppiness. The taste delivers juicy citrus hops wrapped around a thin ribbon of guava and mango tropical fruity juiciness. Behind the modest level of juiciness are bitter hop notes of grapefruit and faintly floral hops. Pretty nice.

12 oz can poured. A semi cloudy, pale yellow pour, with plenty of fizzing foam head, that eventually fades out. A nice borderline imperial witbier here. It's stronger than the usual, but equally as smooth and refreshing. Tons of floral character. Spice is minimal, but definitely present. A cool finish to this pairs well with the Pacific NW heat. Pleasant, enjoyable brew here.

18/6/2018. Region #116. Bottle shared with Gene thanks for bringing this from US and lugging it around Europe for 2 months! Pours hazy amber/pale red with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, oak, berries, cherry, caramel, malt and hint of leather. Moderate sweetness and sour. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Enjoyable.
