Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a vanilla bourbon note up front with some sweet dark grains and roasted malts supporting. Flavor has some thin dark grains with roasted malts and a bit of bourbon towards the finish.

Bottle from brewery. Average pour and normal RIS aromas lead into a big roast grain taste, sharp bit at the finish. Nice blend of roast grains, burnt toast with hints of chocolate. Smooth and light bodied, but tasty, and fulfilling.

On tap at brewery. Fairly gentle hop aroma on a cloudy orange/golden pour. Skin of head leads into big hop bite. Sharp, short, but potent. Makes my cheeks flush. Tasty, but pungent aroma enough to make this a sipper.

On tap at brewery. Dark, light bodied brew, inky black with spare head. Added as a strong ale, as I didn’t know what to expect. Woody, peaty aroma, reminiscent of a Scottish. Taste leans towards Belgian territory, quads and dubbels. Pit fruit and raisins. Yet, light lagerish body. Tasty and intriguing.

On tap at brewery. Very dark amber with small creamy head. Malt in spades, especially in the aroma. Hops kick in at first sip and linger for quite a while, pleasantly. ABV hides behind the hops, only evident by some gentle warmth deep in the gut.
