Stallhagen Dunkles is almost black beer with a medium and large bubble head. Aroma is pleasant: combination with roasted malts and sweetness plus some smoke and sourness. Flavour is very similar than aroma: some sweetness, roasted malts and still some smoke. Quite easy to drink and there could be more body. This was my first time to drink Stallhagen Dunkles, but better later than ever. Convincing beer and I will bough this also later, nice beer.

Small coarseish light brown head quickly disappears. Nearly opaque black body goes deep dark red at edges. Light roasty licorice malts aroma with perfumy notes. Dry-sweet salty licorice (salmiak) taste with dense malty chocolatey notes. Very nice. (0.33l bottle from KnutAlbert.)

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear mahogany colour, minimal head. Aroma of molasses and coffee. Sweet and woody with clean mouthfeel and light body. Feels primitive with insufficient malt and low bitterness.

Draught. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bread, yeast, quite sweet malts. Flavour is quite sour fruity with grass and sour yoghurty notes. Aftertaste is sour yoghurt and some apple. What is up with this brew?!?

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear golden with a rough, white head. Sweetish malty, lightly oxidized aroma. Medium body, sweetish malty with a little caramel and overripe fruit. Subdued bitterness. No way near a Bohemian Pils. 080408

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a very dark brown - almost black - with a discreet tint of red and a light brown head. Lightly burned malt finish. Medium body with sweetish hard roasted malt and some vanilla accents. Lightly malt bitter finish. Lovely beer like quite a few from Stallhagen, so it doesn’t matter much that they simply cannot brew to style. 080408
