Can (BB 02/2007). Pale yellow color, lots of carbonation, good cloudy white head. Typical Lapin Kulta -aroma: quite mild sweet malty with hints of metal and wet paper. Very carbonated mouthfeel, mild sweet malty flavor. Grainy malty aftertaste. Watered down version of Lapin Kulta III. Clean.

50cl bottle: aroma of hay and hops, pours straw with a white head and moderate carbonation. A full flavour with a good balance of hops and malt, and some hops in the aftertaste. The most pleasant Finnish beer I’ve found so far.

50cl bottle: malty aroma with a hint of vegetables; pours golden with a cream head which fades fast leaving a very flat appearance. Very watery, taste is predominantly of malt. Not pleasant.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear mahogany with a warm, reddish hue and a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Fairly light-bodied with roasted, malty accents. Dry finish without much bitterness. Pleasant and very drinkable, but nothing much more than a dry Dunkel really. 210906

(can) Clear, pale golden with a short frothy white head. Sweetish perfumed malty nose with shy traces of grassy hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium body, crispy carbonation. Pretty bland grainy initial taste; slim and short malty and non-hoppy finish. At least I would call it an “emergency beer”.

500ml can. Nice and clear golden colour with some lasting foam. Poor on aroma, but it is possible to stir up a malty touch. Medium sweet flavour with notes of citrus, grain, malt, and a solid touch of alcohol. Abrupt finish,

A hazy amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel besides lighter notes of hops. The flavor is sweet caramelic, but leading to a boring dry end.
