Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Can from verdens største ølsmagning box #7 clear brown, light brown head. very nice malty and nutty aroma, not so much hard roasted malts, with this kind of beer, i prefer malts to be not so hard roasted, so this is super.faint caramel, quite balanced and complex and smooth. nice aroma. flavor is malts, lightly roasted malts, malty bitterness, faint dark caramel bitterness, faint dark chocolate, ends bitter malty and bitter nutty.

Bottle from kvickly. spinderiet bbf 27-10-2021 close to pitch dark, small yellow head. nice roasted malty as well as bitter aromatic hoppy aroma, good balance. flavor is bitter hops, roasted malts, flowery sweetness in the aftertaste. A very dry black ipa, and that suits it well. Also fainter notes of english licorice and finnish style salmiak licorice. the only thing i dislike a bit is a herbal bitter note somewhere in between the hops and the malts. sort of like burnt plastic. it is quite faint, and could easily be from perhaps some smoked malts being in there, perhaps it's just so subtle that it makes you think burnt plastic instead of tar and charred wood. Good beer.

bottle from kvickly best before 18 3 2021 tasted 2021-09-08. wow. kvickly sold me a beer way past best before. I did not notice when i rated it, so i have probably been a bit hard on it, as i expected kvickly to sell me a fresh one. the other kiss i rated earlier today was bbf 28-4-2022. I'll try to get a fresher one and rerate at some point. Clear brown-orange smooth white head. aroma is malty, slightly bready and toasted, mostly euro ish industrial hoppy aroma, a little flowers in there. flavor is stale hoppy, malty. the beer tastes like if you took a good hoppy beer and stored it for a year past best before - it's like the hops are gone and what you have is a bitter echo of what once was. or it resembles an industrial non craft beer that they might call apa but is actually not really tasting like an apa.
