Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.

'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours an almost clear amber with an off-white head. Fruity, yeasty nose - like Belgian yeast?? Medium body, sweet and caramellish, rich in fruit with quite some Belgian fruit. Not sure what this was supposed to be, I’d call it a decent Belgian Ale. 140712

Bottle. Pours a clear amber colour with a medium frothy light beige head. Wood and leather in the aroma with also a touch of sweet berries and sweet candy. Also a lot of wood, leather and bread in the flavour as well. Soft and slick mouthfeel. Bitterness = light+. An okay pale ale, fine balance with a small hop bite.

Pour is a hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is a sweet fruit with some caramel. Flavor is a nice mix of orange peel with a bit caramel malt backbone. After the swallow a nice tart fruit is left on the tounge. This is a decent brown ale mixed with flavorful fruit.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark amber colored body and a small, off-white head. Rather fruity, berryish nose with some sugary, syrupy hints. The flavor is quite piney and citrus-peel-ish, with syrupy maltyness and some bitterness. Lightly nutty. Full-bodied, quite dry and maybe a bit hard on carbonation. Nutty, lightly roasted finish with pleasant bitterness. A quite nice one, pushing the boundaries of brown ale quite a bit. 120623
