From cask at Hectors. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is smooth fruity, light citrusy to grapefruity. Smooth fruity, light malty and fruity sweet impression. Bitter, peachy and grapefruity into a dry hoppy finish.

Cask at the Oakford Social Club, Reading - 26/10/12. Slightly obsucred pale golden with a thin head that soon dissipates to a small pond. Nose comprises grapefruit, candied sugar, orange, slightly tarte notes. Taste follows, touch of mango also, light tarteness comes into play again, slightly sour gooseberries. Medium bodied with fairly soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, toasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, fresh. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, nutty, caramel, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, malty, fruity, nutty, dry. Re-rating @ Cloisters meet the brewer. A much less inspiring beer on this occasion, so I’ve averaged my two ratings. Previous rating 20/09/12 = 7+3+7+4+14=3.5 On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours pale and hazy with a proportionate head. The nose is of geraniums and white flowers. The taste is more citrusy, probably lemon in this case and the flowers are evident again. The palate is almost medium bodied, with very well balanced bitterness. Good pale ale.
