Retro review from Spring 2012 Wetherspoons Beer festival; maybe I’ve been spoilt with better quality IPA’s but this just lacks that bitter hop bite.

Re-rating @ Cloisters meet the brewer. A much less inspiring beer on this occasion, so I’ve averaged my two ratings. Previous rating 20/09/12 = 7+3+7+4+14=3.5 On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours pale and hazy with a proportionate head. The nose is of geraniums and white flowers. The taste is more citrusy, probably lemon in this case and the flowers are evident again. The palate is almost medium bodied, with very well balanced bitterness. Good pale ale.
