Good stuff, rich and well toasted dark malts, bit of boozy kick, raisins, figs, barrel, vanilla, burnt caramel. Warming finish. Toasted marshmallows. Rather drinkable.

Bottle at CBJ tasting, thanks to LKS. Almost opaque dark brown beer, a few dark tan bubbles. Smooth palate, mildly dry, modest fine carbonation. Decent dark chocolate malts, a little chocolate liqueur. Modest barrelling. Slightly bitter savoury spicy finish. Not bad.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and heavy bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and light bitter. Very sweet finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 020525

On tap at Les Cuves de Fauve, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma is odd, bringing out the peanuts and caramel in strange cohesion, which almost comes across vegetal. Flavour is more cohesive, tasting like a de-sugared Snickers bar: peanuts, caramel, maybe some cocoa. Not too sweet. For what it is, it’s pretty solid, just not my jam.
