About
Sofia Electric Brewing was started as an idea behind a terminal in 2018 by Simeon Parvanov. After long and somewhat painful process the brewery finally started fermenting beers in the heart of Sofia in June 2020.

Joined by head brewer Remy Chaloner, the team tries to create beers that bring satisfaction and create opportunities for our community.

Can at the flat in Sofia - picked up from Nosferatu. Pours black-brown with a foamy, beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour, some mellow ashy roast, burnt marshmallows, cocoa, earth, light vanilla and raisins. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Mellow warmth to finish, a touch sticky, more bittersweet cocoa, sturdy roast, cola, fudge. Very tasty.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some toffeeish and mild earthy tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, herbal and nectary tones. A bit bitterness, but long oaty and fruity aftertaste.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is tartness, some fruits, mild herbs and a wee bit wood. Flavour is nicely tart fruits, some nutty tones, marzipan and big time sweet nectar. Nice sweetish tart brew.

Can. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and coffee, with touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee, lactose, and caramel malt, as well as estery touches. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with malty and estery notes.

Can, 10.5%. Papery, roasted aroma, sweetish and citric liquorice notes. Black colour. No head. The flavour is papery and roasted with a good dry liquorice notes. Sweetish notes, mild caramel notes, perhaps from the hops. Late coffee aftertaste. Sticky and oily mouthfeel, but not sugary as such.
