Description
Sofia Electric Brewing was started as an idea behind a terminal in 2018 by Simeon Parvanov. After long and somewhat painful process the brewery finally started fermenting beers in the heart of Sofia in June 2020.

Joined by head brewer Remy Chaloner, the team tries to create beers that bring satisfaction and create opportunities for our community.

Hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus, orange and dank hops. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Can at the flat in Sofia - picked up from 100 Beers. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Medium sweet flavour, notes of pale bread, vanilla, pineapple, tangerine, white grape. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, some white bread, pineapple purée, light bitter lemon rind, more vanilla accents. Pretty much does what it says on the tin. Not bad.

Can at the flat in Sofia - picked up from Nosferatu. Pours dee purple-red with a foamy, fading pink head. Light to medium sweet flavour with pleasant jammy berries, blueberries, mild acidity, raspberries. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with more juicy berries, especially blueberry, relaxed tartness. Solid.

Can at the flat in Sofia - picked up from Nosferatu. Pours lightly hazed pale yellow with a tight, creamy pure white head. Lightly sweet, a pleasant mellow Berliner, subtle citric bite, low lemony acidity. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Clean finish, wheat, lemony tartness, mellow acidity. Nice, really easy-drinking.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from 100 Beers, Sofia. Pours oily black with a moderate, foamy beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour, loads of meaty dark malts, some booze, chewy chocolate, earth, booze, raisins, a little smoke and ash. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more dense dark malts, ashy bitterness, baking cocoa. Hearty, fun old-school stuff.

Can in Riu Pravets - picked up from 100 Beers. Pours cloudy gold with a creamy, white head. Light-medium sweet flavour, nice juicy hip character, a little fresh pale bread, rindy lemon, peach, pine needles. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, faint chalky hop notes, more citrus fruits. Good stuff.

Can in Riu Pravets - picked up from Nosferatu. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, white topping. Heavy sweet flavour, rich bready pale mats, plump citrus, oranges, melon, soft piney bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some citrus purée, more rich bready pale malts. Too sweet but otherwise nice.

Fairly hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma of big pear, pear purée, pear juice. Flavour is light to moderate sour and salty. Light to medium bodied with light moderate carbonation.

Can at 100 Beers - Sofia. Pours hazy yellow with a small, creamy white head. Lightly sweet, low acidity, some tart pear notes, Smarties candies. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean finish, lightly drying, pear accents, soft lemony tang. Drinks fine.
