Description
Amazing beers, plenty of creativity and a good portion of urban zest for life: these are the most important ingredients for our success. As Vienna’s oldest brewery, we have been known for having the highest quality and an extraordinary diversity of flavour for over 180 years. Our brewery resides in the heart of Vienna and has developed into a pulsating event location in accordance with our cosmopolitan flair. Here, in the heart of Ottakring, culinary and culture blend into a unique, delicious mixture.
The Ottakringer Brewery is the last remaining large Viennese brewery, and also one of the last large, independent breweries in Austria. This independence is extremely important to us as a family-run company. Our approximately 150 employees do everything in their power to keep it that way. The most important keys to our success are high-quality products, a wide variety of beers and our hunger for life, which has become our trademark.

Can from Billa Franzosengraben. Coppery body, not that lasting off-white head. Caramel, creamy fruity notes, interesting aroma. Lean, dryish taste, bit earthy, caramelly. bit tart, some rye bread. I mean, okay, drinkable but chewy as well, but the tartness is a bit weird.

# 3329; 11/2022. Vague grainy aroma. Brilliant straw body, white head with low persistance. Light body, malty, fresh, drinkable, easy drinking but quite bland. Good and typical international pale lager - better than average in this category, I guess. 0,5 l, can, gift (art vernissage at Donaubase).

Bottle at the hotel in Vienna. Pours pale yellow with a weak, fading white foam head. Sweet and doughy bread aroma. Lightly sweet flavour with mild dough, semi-crisp, slight vegetal notes. Light bodied with average carbonation. Mild crispness in the finish, some dough, wet hay. Drinkable but nothing special.

Can at the hotel in Vienna. Pours clear pale yellow with a fizzy white head. Light lemony nose. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of sugar, , not too artificial though. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet citrus in the finish, low bitterness. Not bad for what it is.
