Description
Amazing beers, plenty of creativity and a good portion of urban zest for life: these are the most important ingredients for our success. As Vienna’s oldest brewery, we have been known for having the highest quality and an extraordinary diversity of flavour for over 180 years. Our brewery resides in the heart of Vienna and has developed into a pulsating event location in accordance with our cosmopolitan flair. Here, in the heart of Ottakring, culinary and culture blend into a unique, delicious mixture.
The Ottakringer Brewery is the last remaining large Viennese brewery, and also one of the last large, independent breweries in Austria. This independence is extremely important to us as a family-run company. Our approximately 150 employees do everything in their power to keep it that way. The most important keys to our success are high-quality products, a wide variety of beers and our hunger for life, which has become our trademark.

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Clear, a bit pale golden body with a small, white head. Grainy and fruity nose and aroma, with some hops and bitterness in the flavor. Medium to thin body. Grainy and a bit hoppy finish. Quaffable and anonymous. Rating: 3-2-4-2-7-1.8. 070804
Bottle. A clear, quite pale golden beer topped by a small, white head leaving some lacings. Grainy nose with some fruityness. The flavor is grainy and sweet, some bitterness shows up towards the end, and there’s also a nice citrusy flavor in the finish. Medium body, a bit on the sweet side, but still quite quenching. Overall, a decent beer, but the aroma is too weak, even for a helles, and nothing with this beer makes me scream with joy. 100422

On tap at the Berliner Bierfestival. Clear golden serving, with a small, white head. Sweet and malty nose with a little fruityness. The same goes for the flavor, but there’s a weak note of alcohol and some hops as well. Medium to full and a bit sticky mouthfeel. Quite nice, at least it was a welcomed change from all the pilsners. Milder, stumpf getreidiger Antrunk. Test vom 29.5.2007, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 6,4,8,2,4,4 - 4,50
