Description
Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth, and balance.

Growler. pours a slightly hazy gold with moderate head. Aromas of tropical fruit leaning towards pineapple and melons, with lemongrass and white pepper. Lighter flavors of melons, yeast, toasted malts and muddled tropical fruit. Super dry, almost powdery. Very Hybrid. Very Nice

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond color with small head. The aroma is very zesty; fruity, with a touch of passion fruit. Lean body, very drinkable; delicate malt flavor, helps to showcase the other elements; the hopping is resiny, piney, zesty, and the yeast provides a nice spicy component. Very dry in the final, calling for more.
Excellent.

Draught at the brewery
Dark brown color with small head. Robust Ale, with nice malt flavor, and stronger body than expected. But the aroma has a note that reminds me of some cheap chocolate; hints of dark chocolate and liquorice in the flavor; correct bitterness, and a touch of anise in the final.
Enjoyable.

On tap at Four Winds, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small off-white head. Aroma smells like pure liquid chocolate. Flavour is similar, with liquid milk and dark chocolate, mixed with subtle Belgian yeast. Light on the palate, dominated mostly by the chocolate. Very nice.

On tap at Four Winds, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lovely floral hops, some Belgian yeast, and a little pine. Flavour is fairly complex, with floral hops, some pine, Belgian yeast, and spicy notes. Very cohesive, with a good mix of floral and piney hops. Very nice stuff.
