Pint can. Pineapple aroma with notes of peach, passion fruit, lemon, mango, papaya and grapefruit. Pours hazy, pale golden colored with a finger of white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with juicy pineapple, passionfruit, mango and lemon flavors. Finishes a touch dry but quite smooth with peach, papaya and grapefruit flavors. Juicy, refreshing and excellent.

16 oz can that was given to me by my friend Chris. The pour is black brown, opaque, with a two inch khaki head that is lasting. Eventually falls with a pretty coating of lace. The aroma is roast, soft charred wood, brown sugar, pine and a soft fruit I can’t quite identify. The taste char roast malt upfront, then turns towards a whisper of brown sugar and finishes with quite a bit of pine, earth and mineral to the finish. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and the dry, pine earth mineral crisp finish. Nice Export Stout, thanks, Chris.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a white head that left rapidly. Aroma is citrus with some light resin notes. Dry, tho malt support is clearly present. Nicely bitter. Flavor is orange, perhaps passion fruit, and some notes of earth and resin. Really good stuff.

Can from Tavour: pours pale yellow with white head. Aroma is corny and grainy. Taste is lightly bitter. Some sweetness. Nothing really remarkable about this.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a small transient yellowish head. Aroma of very, very nice dark malt. Full bodied. Far from dry. There’s a lot of very nice English malt. There’s definitely some bourbon and wood. I think there’s a lot of floral hop. The flavor is just amazingly good.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a large white head that lightly laced. Aroma has pineapple. Med body. Flavor has pineapple and green melon. Rather tropical and somewhat juicy, but pretty dry. Very nicely bitter. Some resin, but not pine, surfaced eventually. Good tasting ale.

8 ounce can from Tavour. Chestnut brown color. Brief beige head. Aromas of sweet toasted malt, bourbon, oak, toffee and toasted walnuts. First sip is sweet and sticky. Notes of toffee, vanilla, oak, whiskey and raisins. Remarkably smooth for a 14.3 booze bomb.

8 ounce can from Tavour. Opaque dark brown pour. Brief tan head settles to a scant ring. Aromas of dark roasted malt, whiskey, vanilla and oak. First sip brings notes of strong Cuban coffee, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, oak, treacle and bourbon. Immensely complex, warming and intense. Not for the faint of heart.
