Bottle shared by Travlr at the C’Ville Foxy Knoxy Tasting. Slightly hazy amber, no head. Aroma of tart funk, citrus and earthy notes, tannic wine. The taste is tart and sweet cherries, tannic wine, citrus, caramel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering bitterness.

32oz growler from the brewery pours a murky, brick red (nearly brown) with some spitty, off white head. Nose is extremely gristy, soggy cracker, bread crust, malt, some orange, some mild fruit notes, both stone fruit and hints of tropical fruits. Flavor follows, I was surprised at how gristy this was, lots of biscuit and dried notes, more of that soggy cracker, some orange, blood orange too, mild soap. Full bodied, dry finish. A little incongruous for me.

Bottle from the source marked Flanders Sour. Hazy maroon color, small tan head. Aroma of sour cherry. Taste is tart,acetic berries. Interesting but messy.

375ml bottle pours a hazy orange with some creamy, frothy, white head. Nose is interesting, quite a bit of peach, some nectarine too, quite a bit of buttery oak even leading to vanilla notes, white grape, quite a bit of funk too. Flavor follows, tart nectarine, tart grapefruit, vanilla, some raw wood, buttery oak, chardonnay, some nettles. Buttery finish. I liked this. I think without the peach, the buttery notes would be over bearing.

On cask at the brewery pours a murky black with some creamy off white head. Nose is more mild than the draft version, some dusty malt, bread crust, some coffee bean, dark chocolate. Flavor is a bit watery too, malt, some more prevalent coffee bean, mild turbinado sugar, less chocolate than I was expecting. Watery finish.

On tap at the brewery, pours a murky gold with some murky, sticky white head. Nose has an interesting mix of tropical fruit and citrus, pineapple, some coriander, lemon rind, kumquat, mild candy, white grape. Flavor has a lot of soap and lemon, kumquat, some under ripe tomato, mild candy, white peppercorn, a little acetic acid lurking. Full bodied.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a murky black with some creamy beige head. Nose has chocolate, molasses, cake icing, some bread, a little interesting tamarind. Flavor follows, sweet but not sticky, malt, some pumpernickel, molasses, lots of chocolate, some caramel. Medium bodied finish.

16.9 oz lightly waxed bottle shared by Travlr, thanks Gene! Slightly hazy golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of floral, funk, hay, pungent notes. Tastes of tropical and stone fruit, funk, acetone. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Not a fan.
