Bottle, Boise imperial stout tasting. Dark brown pour with a small brown head. Roast and a little bit of dark pitted fruit. Semi-sweet, but roasty too. Smooth and creamy texture. Nice.

A pitch black beer, a head weak and dark brown. Aroma is great, liquirice, dark chocolate, some coffee and vanilla, low fruitful sweetness. Taste has intensive liquirice and salt liquirice, some roastiness and coffee. Full bodied, low carbonation, soy sauce drinkability not sticky. Warming in the throat. Great beer, balanced and liquirice.

32oz big can of whoop-ass (that came in a massive 4-pack from Costco) pours with a clear thin gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up plenty of estery bananas, cloves and bubble gum as well as a bit of apple. The taste seems a tad soft with sweet banana and bubble gum and cracker like malt notes where spicy and modestly bitter noble hops and pepper sensation attempt to create a more peppy experience. Overall this is fairly light and refreshing and the sweet estery notes are pleasingly in check.

Black color with a medium tan head with short duration, medium lacework. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, coconut and light vanilla. Flavor is roasty, notes of plumbs and ripe dark fruit, strong coffee taste and licorice. Light bitterness int eh final with medium duration, roasted notes. Creamy and smooth on palate.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big raisin, plum, fig, date, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, cocoa, toast, dark bread, pepper, herbal, slight smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big raisin, plum, fig, date, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, cocoa, toast, dark bread, pepper, herbal, light smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Good amount of peppery yeast spiciness and light roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, fig, date, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, cocoa, toast, dark bread, pepper, light smoke, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roasted malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great yeast/malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly bready/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian strong dark ale style. All around great complexity, balance, and robustness of dark/roasted malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Caña en el sr don lúpulo de gijon. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscura poco persistente. Aromas y sabores intensos se maltas tostadas con cacaos y gran sensación alcohólica. Bastante buena, para repetir.
