Sample at Vine Street Pub in Denver. The beer pours a hazed amber-orange color with a medium white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing. Floral hops aroma as well as caramel malt notes. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops flavor that has floral and citric notes. The finish is hoppy and lingering. Above average overall.

On draught at Vine Street Pub in Denver. The beer pours black with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing. Mocha aroma with notes of malt. Medium body with a pleasant roasted character and flavors of coffee, dark chocolate and hops. The finish is moderately bitter coffee with a hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Vine Street - well, she looks nice - dark brown with an impressive tan head - surprisingly sweet for a dry stout, and lacking the dry, hard water/mineral character you would expect from the style - some fairly strong roastiness, slight coffee, but nothing I would call "dry" - flavors of milk chocolate, some dark fruit - creamy, medium-bodied - okay.

Tap at Vine Street - dark amber pour - as has been noted, very resinous in the aroma, with hints of sweetened grapefruit - fairly sweet flavor, but there is plenty of earthy hops to lend balancing bitterness, pine, and citrus pith flavors - a bit of orange sweetness in the finish that the bitterness doesn’t quite stick around long enough to balance completely, but otherwise this is a fairly tasty IPA.

tap at Mountain Sun (think it was nitro) - Pours dark brown to black with a light tan head. It has a dark roast malt aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavor has that good dark roast malt with chocolate notes carrying through to the finish. It’s full bodied and quite tasty.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours amber and has a nutty, caramel malt aroma. The taste is a very typical amber ale with sweet caramel malt dominating some mild hops. It’s light to medium bodied and quite drinkable if uninspiring.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours hazy gold with a white head. The aroma is ginger and malt. The flavor is all about the ginger. It includes lightly sweet malt, but the ginger clearly leads. It works pretty well though.

tap at Mountain Sun - This brew smells of, wait for it, that’s right, blackberries and wheat. It has a light, sweet, fruity flavor and a light body. Not bad.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours yellow-orange with a white head. It smells of bready malt with some light, fruity esters. It tastes of sweet bready malt and a touch of citrus along with mild hops. Pretty good.

tap at Mountain Sun - Pours cloudy yellow with a rich wheaty aroma that includes notes of citrus and spice. The flavor is much the same with sweet wheat malt flavors and citrus and spice notes. It’s light bodied without being watery. Solid brew.
