12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 5/6/2013. Pours crystal clear dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, roasted malt, honey, toast, light coffee, light nuttiness, floral, and toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark and roasted malt notes; with decent strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, roasted malt, toast, toffee, honey, light nuttiness, light coffee, and toasted earthiness. Lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, roasted malt, toast, toffee, honey, light nuttiness, and light coffee on the finish for a bit. Good balance of dark and roasted malt flavors with cocoa and honey additions; with a fair amount of robustness and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice porter. Good balance and solid robustness of roasted/dark malt flavors with cocoa/honey; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, russin, karamell, farinsocker, ekträ med toner av torkad frukt och choklad. Lättdrucken med en sträv och chokladbitter beska. En aning söt men det överlever jag.

Bottle at Ungstrup’s. Pours hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops with notes of grass and citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of fruit and spices. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Nice but a little too spicy for an IPA.
