Description
Somewhere out in Colorado, in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-five, two guys named Dave and Bill learned that while they loved gulping down good beer, they weren’t yet old enough to buy it. They figured an answer to their quandary would appear if they drank enough and listened to enough thinking music, also known as Ska. On the second Skaturday of Skatember it hit them. If they brewed their own beer they’d have all the beer they could ever want. And while they were at it, why not brew the most magnificent suds ever quaffed in their neck of the woods…or any other neck for that matter.

Taste at Trail's End. Pours a clear, brown color, with a small, beige head. The nose is brown bread, maple, caraway, and straw. Light, fruity ester. Sweet and nicely yeasty, with a mellow bitter finish. Light, simple, and quite tasty.

Super hazy, almost fully opaque deep orange and copper coloured body with a nice, three to four centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of strong fruit notes with oranges, grapefruit, mangoes and yes, the guava is strong here in a great way with some tropically aspects. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich and strong pungent hops show a lot of bitterness with a good kick of fresh fruit with the grapefruit, oranges and especially the guava supporting the bitterness, all with a great malt backbone that is quite rich and still showing a lot of sweetness. Aftertaste shows some great fruitiness with a lot of bitterness still from the alpha acids in the hops and a great backbone from the malts that hits nicely throughout. Overall, a very nice beer that was even better than I expected with a great fresh guava flavour, but the oranges and grapefruits with bitterness show the most here. A nice beer and definitely worth trying to find, if you can get it! I sampled this twelve ounce can, super fresh, purchased yesterday on 31-January-2022 for US$1,99 at Whole Foods in Fort Collins, Colorado and sampled in my hotel room here in Cheyenne, Wyoming on 01-February-2022.

12 ounce can from Total Wine Santa Fe, 1/24/22. One of the most common beers I haven’t ticked. Cool. Hazy orange, large rocky tan head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel malt. Taste is dank, resin, grapefruit, pale malt. Lingering bitterness. A bit off balance. Okay. Am I missing something?

Pale blond and hazy with thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour start slightly floral and herbal. Later more zesty citrus notes come through. Full bodied. Easy to drink.

35cl Blik van De Laat. Amber kleur, vuilwitte romige kraag.

(Can) Hazy amber colour with frothy, tan head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with red berries, apples, lemon, a touch of root vegetables and ginger. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red berries, blood orange, green apples, ginger, lemon and a dry and tart finish. Light body, dry. Tasty and refreshing, but leaning in the gimmick direction. Quite enjoyable.
