Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 14.04.15. Very pale straw colour. Small white head. Sugary sweet aroma, with grass and harsh hops. A hint of sulphur. Similar taste.

Bottled, thanks Don! (re-entered lost rating from August 2000) Pale yellow. A little hazy. A not too unpleasant flavour of celery salt is very prominent.

Hazy (cloudy when everything is in the glass] pale golden pour with a fine white head. Ok lacing. Fruity, herbal and some mild banana in the aroma. Medium body with a quite rich carbonation. Fizzy texture. Moderate sweet and a moderate bitterness. Wheat, herbal, fruity and some banana in the flavor. Quite refreshing and nice actually!

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, grassy, grainy and some slight hayish notes. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, grass and grains. Quite balanced, but nothing special.

Almost clear, pale straw with fizzy unstable head. Sugary, sourish citrus aroma. Flavour is watery with citric bitterness. Dry in an unpleasant way. Filth.

In der Tat kein klassisches IPA. In der Nase ein wenig Frucht, Mango vielleicht. Im Trunk erst Traube, Wein, dann süß, später trocken. Im IPA Glas stabiler Schaum, schöne Bernstein-Farbe.

33cl bottle picked up in Hamburg and brought back to the UK purely to share with the Shrewsbury Bottle Exchange Group (or whatever we call ourselves). split between five of us on 12th Jan 2015. This Australian, Belgian, German Doppelbock was really worth the effort of finding and bringing home. Poured a clean brown, with a beige head that tried to stay. Malty, sweet and alcoholic, just like a Doppelbock should be. Nothing outstanding or different apart from its name and provenance, just a good beer behind a weird label and name.

330 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of chocolate, honey, grain and dust. The flavour is fairly refreshing, and not too sweet. Mild roasty notes, hints of chocolate and honey, a slight fruity acidity, moderate hops. Nice enough to drink.
