Tap at the Proeflokaal. Semi clear golden pour with a white head. Honey and hay are present in the aroma with some other sweet grains. Taste is also sweetish, grainy, with a hint of green apples and slight bitterness in the finish. Closes with a dry finish, it’s got a light body and average carbonation.

Tap at the Proeflokaal. Dunkler brown pour with an off-white head. Nose is roasty, chocolatey malts, lighter toffee. Taste is sweet and malt forward, it’s got toffee, bready notes and slight booze. The body is medium to full with a soft carbonation.

Bottle. Pours completely hazy orangeish golden with a finger wide head. Nose is some herbal hops, minimal yeast expression, not much all in all. Taste is boozy, agressive high alcohols, tastes like fermentation temperature problems really, quite unpleasant.

Bottle at home. Deeper copper pour with an off-white head. Nose is dark fruits and grains, also a pretty intense caramel touch. Taste is nuts, grainy notes, loads of burnt sugar, maaaaybe a hint of smoke even. It doesnt fully have the yeast expression for that, but still comes pretty close to a dubbel. Not tragic, but the burnt sugar notes are too intense for me. Body is pretty decent tho.
