330ml bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent. Pours clear gold. Stewed caramelised apple character with light balsamic shades. Moderately sweet. A touch thin. Unremarkable commercial German cider.

0.33 l bottle from local 'LIDL'. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white layer. Sweetish, slightly sourish, gently fruity and maybe minimally grassy aroma of ripe apples, some pear and traces of hops. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, gently fruity taste of ripe apples, some pear and traces of wood, followed by a short, moderately tart, slightly dry and minimally grassy finish. Thin to medium body, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid cider but I just hardly get the hops, therefore disappointing.

18-08-19 // bottle from local LIDL. Clear pale golden. Mild green apple nose. Mild sweet fruity. Apples but a bit flat. No hops tastable. Warming up some slight hop aromas show up in nose adn taste.
