Can, Advent pack. Amber with a white head that settles to a cm. Over the years the normal Beechy Pale has become more tropical with a citrus centre, and so it is here too. A little more crust to the bready malt but it's still clean and reasonably light before a fair bit of pineapple and some vague citrus point towards the fairly bitter finish. Solid, balanced (for the times) stuff.

Advent box can. Fairly cloudy orange with a white head. Lots of obvious citrus peel, some vanilla, crackers. Sweet with jarringly obvious citrus peel, mild spices, crackers. Refreshing enough.

Advent box. Almost clear gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of pineapple, crackers, honeydew melon, some vague citrus. Light bodied with just about enough support for the mostly tropical hops. Snappy but only moderately bitter at the end.

Further Advent boxage. Just cloudy amber with a good inch of white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma is majestic too with tenor register citrus, slightly earthy pine, stone and hints of tropical fruit, crusty bread. Upon a sip it seems initially as though resin is going to be overwhelming but caramel-tinged malt and stone fruit and then citrus peel rise to match. It's big but not that heavy - at least until the big bitter finish starts to thunk away after 150mls. Best I've had in a good series.

Another Advent box can. Cloudy red with a coat of just pink head. Aroma of raspberries, perhaps a touch of yoghurt. Light bodied. Not quite such a big fruit presence upon a taste but: berries, a little tangy sourness, vaguely minerally finish. Can't say I got any passionfruit at all. Refreshing but slight.

Can from the advent pack. Murky amber with an inch of white head. Peachy aroma with mango, kumquat, pineapple. Creamy with indistinct, smudged flavours. Sweet, fruit nectar-like with moderate bitterness. No great astringency though.

Advent calendar. Can. Misty orange with a white head. Aroma of oranges and kumquats, perhaps some bread behind. So, looks and smells like beer: going well so far. Then it feels a bit orange bitters and soda-like. Which is pleasant enough. There's a faintly artificial aftertaste but this is not bad at all.

Bridge Rd advent box. Can. Looks like I raided the blood bank with a pink head that's soon an island. Vibrant raspberry with twangy wheat behind. Slightly sour. Rather smoothy-like with mountains of berries - blackberries are also pretty obvious. It's mostly just fruity, but that's OK. A little salty at the end.

Part of the Advent pack. Bottle. Medium hazy orange with a modest but persistent white head. 3+ Aroma of barely ripe passionfruit (and their flowers), nectarine, honeydew melon, a slight earthy note I didn't love. 7+ Light bodied, dryish. Some crackers, lots of fruit, moderate bitterness. Very refreshing.

Advent box. Can. Cloudy pale orange with a small white head. Aroma is funky with mango, boot polish, mandarin, crackers. Light bodied, fizzy but quite soft-textured. Lightly sweet with mandarin and some tropical notes before a dryish and slightly salty finish. Didn't have high expectations for this one but it really hit the spot on a steamy and stormy night.
