24/10/2022. Schooner at Pyrmont Bridge Hotel, Sydney. Pours hazy pale orange gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of orange, mango, citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, husky edge. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, a little watery, gently fizzy. Solid IPA.

(Can) Pours a rather attractive cloudy peachy pinkish amber with tiny white head. Pleasant fruity aroma but predominantly lemon with peach hints and a grain hint. Medium body with very pleasant fine smooth carbonation. Pleasant tart fruity flavour - lemon and peach. Very drinkable.

Can. Clear rosy amber. Bubbles but no head. Aroma of strong bread, Sherry, spices. Only fullish bodied. Lowish carbonation is just what it needed. Not all that sweet with a little bit of sourness, more acidity, even more oak. Some gungy toffee notes at the bottom, lighter vinous notes than you'd guess from it being PX, spices, maybe a little much oak. Can't tell if there's any bitterness. Slow drinker even though there's no unintegrated alcohol. After the Aurora beers it seems strange that it took so long to get back to this sort of thing.

Can. Gold with a 2cm white head that never quite disappears. 3+ Slightly earthy aroma of under-ripe tropical fruit and berries, crackers. Carbonation is on the low side. More bready than crackery. Fairly lean with fruity and new-world-does-old spicy and earthy notes. Moderate bitterness. Fine, but I'd have liked bolder.

Bottle. Got this in the Christmas box and didn't realise it was a new tick. It was bb April. Slightly unclear yellow, not head. Slightly mean apple and skin aroma with some floral notes. A bit of body but not all that much flavour. Light apple flesh and a little skin, slightly tart. A bit disappointing.

330ml bottle from The Oak Barrel. Pale yellow gold colour, short-lived thin white foam head and aroma of apple, fleshy. Taste is tangy, tart, apple, with earthy drying tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable

Can. Unclear reddish amber with a beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, breadcrust, nectarines. Lightish bodied. Loads of citrus that doesn't quite obscure the stickiness of the breadcrust. Dryish and moderately bitter. Right at the end there's an odd herbal / floral note (dried mint? chamomile? sage?) I didn't love. But it's pretty good.
