Can. Doesn't say hazy on the can . Opaque dull orange with a fluffy inch of white head. Almost sickly aroma of peach, mango, tinned pineapple, crackers, hints of weird herbs, vanilla (!?). Very fruity indeed. Not as sweet as suggested but I still wanted a bit more of a bitter finish and maybe a little more citrus to tie things together. And the weird medicinal herbal note jars a bit too. Eh, I suppose the series is semi experimental.

The new Garage Project collaborative Dark Harvest was quite different from the Mikkeller version. I wonder what this one will be like. Can. Dull orange with a good inch of white head. Little aroma - a bit dusty with vague citrus and tropical fruit. Much more vibrant taste with gooseberry, passionfruit, menthol, vanilla, spearmint. Finish is humming with resin with lowish bitterness. Interesting. Shame about the weak aroma.

Can, poured into earless chocolate bunny. Brown, brown head disappears pretty quickly. Rich, molten chocolate aroma with a little roast behind it. A little lighter bodied than expected with a little roast and some grassy bitterness at the end. Has lactose in but it doesn't really register (which is good). Hints of hazelnuts. They've had a few goes at this and this one is best so far.

2022 Garage Project version. Different collaborator, different beer I suppose - although every year is different. Can. Black with a dense pale beige head. And the aroma is different - nutty (maybe even seedy) with Chinotto, peach, singed caramel, some tropical notes. After a few swirls the nutty/ earthy notes seem less prominent and kumquat and peach more so. The lightens and tightens things towards the slightly resinous bitter finish. Right at the end there's a little passionfruit sharpness. Interesting.

A velvety, smooth chocolate stout that I could drink forever, and the chocolate. The hops are well restrained, allowing the chocolate to shine, though there's a good amount of citrus in the finish along with some toast and stonefruit. It's the aroma that's the hero of this one, however - it's very much reminiscent of Easter eggs.

Can. Opaque amber with a 2cm white head that hangs around a bit. 3+ Vibrant Kiwi hop aroma - melon, grapes, green berries, custard apple, grass. Very fruity but there's not a lot of depth or support. Peppery finish is drying and somewhat pithily bitter. Maybe it rushes in a little quickly but works pretty well. There are several things about this beer I can't recall in any other.

Can. Cloudy orange with a modest white head. Aroma of fresh pine needles, mandarin peel, pineapple, hints of spices. Light bodied, lowish carbonation. Dryish with a little biscuit and crackers. Tropical and citrus fruit get swept away by resin and spices at a finish that's more dry than bitter. Not quite for me. Not convinced it's as intended.

Aromas of caramel, butterscotch, grapefruit and quite an earthy note. That earthiness is very prominent, along with the grapefruit and some pine notes. The earthiness gives it an added layer of interest as it scrapes along the tongue. Couldn't get enough of it. (originally rated 3.1, Dec 2022. Said the earthy notes overwhelmed the other flavours and there was no taste on the back of the tongue. Slightly tweaked recipe since then?)

Pours gold with a large head.Nose show piny and resinous hops, pineapple, lychee, and clean malt.Flavours include more resinous and piny hops along with sweet clean malt, a faint biscuity malt. Very clean and easy going.

Bottle, from their advent box. Two years in the barrel, huh. Gold with a head that's completely gone as soon as it's poured. 3- I love apricots and the aroma is full of them in their jammy, fleshy, slightly tart way. There are some floral and boot polish notes too. Slightly slippery, low carbonation. A little bit of body but never seems heavy - really nicely judged. Dryish with some illusion of sweetness due I guess to some caramelisation of the fruit. Mainly about apricots with a little tidying up spiced oak, zingy and slightly bitter finish. Lovely stuff.
