Pours hazy orange with a large head.Nose shows mango, vanilla, spicy hops and pine.Flavours include more pine, spicy and herbal hops, vanilla, lactose sweetness, soft mango. The lactose and hops do clash a little, but that's a small complaint.

A big, hoppy, beautifully balanced IPA that is going down like a treat. Aromas of graefruit, pine needles, stonefruit and pineapple. Lots of piney hops and honey. Pretty sudsy palate, big finish all the way down the throat. Love it.

330ml bottle. Poured a hazy light amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, citrus fruits and vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a crisp, malt, light fruity, sweet sugary vanilla and lactose palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Black with a dense tan cap that laces well. Promising intense aroma of chocolate, brioche, nectarines, oranges. Silky, medium low carbonation. Not sticky or oily. Tastes very much as it smells. Sweet but with bitterness that lifts it away. Very drinkable for its strength. A real return to form for this one.

Can. Amber with a cm + of white head. Booming tropical fruit, pine and sticky breadcrust aroma - dank and tenor register. More than medium bodied. Rich and sweet with lots of tropical fruit before pine and strong bitterness reel it in and it leans drier at the end. Nudges up on rasping at the end.

Schooner on tap at Saccharomyces, Brisbane. Amber beer with a foamy white head. Slight haze, high carbonation. Malt nose, slight fruit and caramel hints. Sweet and malty to start with a tinny hops in the finish. Nothing outstanding but very welcome in this bar with no air-conditioning (at lunchtime in Brisbane in SUMMER!).
