Cask at The Hanging Bat. Murky ruby body with a thin beige head that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma of plum, raisin, nail varnish remover and a hint of whisky. Flavour of raisin, caramel and almonds. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Flat. The stronger version of this beer is tastier, in my opinion.

Bottle thanks to BenH. It pours hazy golden-amber with a medium Tellier-white head. The nose is rich, hot cross bun, honeyed grain, brioche, earth, pear drops, toasted sugar and fruit loaf. The taste is bitter-sweet, spicy, fruit cake, resin, earth, warming alcohol, rye bread, candied peel, musty and umami with a lingering, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Thankfully not overly sweet. Rich and decadent.

Bottle shared at the Kernel - thanks to Ben. Pours hazy gold with a goamy, white head. Rich bready malt aroma with notes of candied sugars, caramel, dates and golden raisins. Big sweet flavor with some doughy pale bread, light alcohol, apricot, more dates, light hay bitterness. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish with sticky sugars, kild grassy bitterness, ripe fruita, more golden raisins, white bread. Somewhat hefty but still pretty drinkable.
