Pours dark amber orange with a thick white head. Aroma of bready malts, caramely malts, sweet syrup, grassy hoppiness and grapefruit. Taste is malty, bready and hoppy with hints of rye, syrup, spices and syrup. Finish is smooth, malty and stingy with some grassy notes, rye, spices and syrup. A bit unbalanced and stuffy, doesn’t feel very fresh.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet sweet dark chocolate malt with light fruity notes and bourbon notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. OttBottShare March 2014.

750ml bottle. Hazy, orangey deep golden colour with small to average, frothy, diminishing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity yeasty and slightly spicy aroma, hints of orange and orange zest, a peppery yeasty touch, herbal overtones. Taste is moderately sweet malty and fruity, surpressed by dry herbal and zesty notes, a spicy, peppery yeasty touch. Well balanced, multifaceted, but overall mild in character.

750ml bottle [2013 vintage]. Hazy, reddish, darkest copper colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of blood orange, orange, orange zest, a sweaty, resinous touch, caramel malty basis with bitter almond touch and hints of toffee. Taste is bitter hoppy, dry and minimally tart, hints of grapefruit and blood orange, a touch of hay, cautious malty basis with a touch of toffee. Minimally rough and dirty - really nice.

355ml bottle. Minimally cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of orange, lemon, some pine, biscuity malt basis. Taste is bitter and citrusy hoppy, lots of lemon, a touch of lemon tea, caramel malty basis. Nice, refreshing lemon note, easy, light and tasty, sipped away in a jiffy.

Bottle from my this year’s Secret Santa, many thanks robinvboyer. Orange amber color with medium white head. Nice hoppy aroma, Centennial is easily recognizable. Taste, soft malty base, followed by nice hoppy kick with grapefruit, grapefruit zest, oranges, resin. Again Centennial is again clearly evident. Long hoppy bitter finish.Tasty.
