A brewery that originated in the hobby brewing of beers with a lot of love and passion. In 2019, the brewery's IPA was awarded as general champion during the Open Dutch Championships beer brewing (ONK2019).
Since 2020, the first steps have been taken to introduce others to our love and passion brewed beers by setting up a microbrewery. The recipes are further developed, brewed and mainly tasted in the brewing lab of the 12 Stuyvers located in Hazerswoude-Dorp.
The beers are ultimately brewed on a large scale by ourselves in the kettles of befriended brewers. The brewery focuses mainly on the Green Heart, but in particular on Alphen aan den Rijn and surroundings.

Another quadrupel from the recent order with Smaakhuis, I like the look of the wax dip but do not get off on having to remove it to open the 33 cl bottle. I celebrate my first tasting from the brewery by bringing out my Trappistes Rochefort glass and proceeding with the pour. The body shows a shiny mahogany brown with an almost nonexistent ring of tan foam. The scent is an attraction, I get dark fruit and booze. And the drink is only more so, quite good in a style I consider my favorite. Dark plums, malt, baked bread, plenty of scotch whisky, leather, black raisins, hint of toffee and some earthiness. A different course for a quadrupel with the whisky but I enjoy it as I have with prior similar quads. Good stuff here.

330ml bottle. Clear, orange golden colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally grainy, pale and wheaty malty aroma, yeasty fruity overtones, a touch of honey, yellow stone fruit, orchard fruit, banana; slight muesli character overall, yeasty spicy whiffs of clove in addition. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty and pale malty, slightly yeasty fruity, mildly bitter hoppy, hints of honey, red and yellow apple, a touch of yellow stone fruit; weak, yeasty spicy overtones with touch of clove and liquorice. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Clean, sweet-ish and fruity - OK.

Very dark brown with thin soapy head. Super intense coffee aroma. Fresh and intense. Almost savoury. Flavour is similar with huge roasted coffee notes but also mocha chocolate.

Can 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma pale malt, lemon, tangerine, peach, piney hops. Taste medium bitter and light sweet, malty, grapefruit, pine resin. Medium body, oily exture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, well-made, nice.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 31.12.2028) im 2024-02 getrunken. Dieses kräftige, malzige Quadrupel wird von dem Bourbon Fasseinfluss derartig erschlagen das Aroma dominiert wird und der Alkohol schlecht eingebunden ist. Man muß Fassreifung auch können. Hier wirkt es als ob man einfach das Bier direkt mit dem Bourbon versetzt hat. Nein kein Bier was ich noch mal im Glas haben möchte.

Thuis uit een flesje. Donkerrood, bruin. Lichtbruin schuim. Caramel in het aroma. Ook in smaak caramel en wat geroosterde koffie.
