From tap at the Rake, thanks to Mes for a pour of this. Pours clear and golden yellow with no head. Aroma is fruity and mild acidic. Barnyard smooth and slight acidic. Acidic, fruity and barnyard aromatic flavoured. Shivering sour. Ends dry and acidic. Will likely get even better with some longer aging.

Tap at the Rake. Pours a rich, cloudy gold with a fluffy, white head. Strong hop aroma with melon, pine and some bread. Fairly sweet flavor with notes of honey and caramel. Plenty of bitterness, with more melon and fine citrus. Also hints of bubblegum. Body is full, like a DIPA, and the carbonation is soft to fine. Finishes sweet with pineapple and melon, light, bready malts, faint toast, and some sticky, resinous hops. Perhaps a bit heavy-handed in some aspects, but overall this was a good drink.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, honey-amber with a creamy, white head. Light caramel aroma with some citrus tartness. Flavor has some light sweetness, but there is a fairly strong bitterness that overpowers the flavor profile. Earthy bitterness with some grapefruit. There are touches toasted malts as well. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with lingering hops. Unfortunately I think this beer is slightly out of code, but it is still decent.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby amber colour with a big and dense beige foamy head. Moderately sweet roasted and slightly smoked malty aroma with dark chocolate and very subtle fruity notes. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Complex malty flavours: roasty and delicately smokey taste with chocolate, mocha and liquorice; smokey and rich malty finish. Lacks a bit body, otherwise a gem. 11.XI.09
