[ As VIP The Village Ghost ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, minerals, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted bitter, salty, oyster stout alike. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]

Bottle at Craig’s, bought from the brewery. Potentially mislabelled? Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head, mild gusher. Aromas of light sherbet, lemon. Taste is light malt, prickly finish.

Tired at the Bourne festival 2015. Golden colour with a thin white head. Very slight hop aroma decent enough taste slight refreshing bitterness.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep cloudy amber. Nice head. Nose - light marmalade and biscuits. Taste - light spicy biscuits. Orange again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a light tangy and then quite watery finish. Overall - drinkable.

500ml bottle from the Sun Hotel, Warkworth. Gusher! Pours hazy golden amber with a thick, big- bubbled white head. Aromas of dried mixed fruit, not much else. Taste is malt, watery fruit. Heavy tannins. Very dry finish, prickly carbonation.
