75 cL bottle. Pours clear yet deep hazzlenut brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is mild spiced of cinnamon and a bit of cardemomme, mixed with caramel-toffee and mild yeasty notes.Sweet and slight oldish flavour, yeasty and caramelish too. Slight sweet and fruity finish with a distinct herbal honey like accent, going gradually more dry. Surely a quad, yet somewhat more on the herbal and less sweet side.

Pour is a dark red with a average tan head. Aroma is nice with some dark fruit and candi sugar with some alcohol. Flavor is caramel with some more dark fruit and a heavy breadyness. Alcohol is no problem and does not get in the way. A pretty decent beer and there is nothing really wrong with it but there still are even better quads out there.

Pours clear amber into a Trappist glass. Off-white head with excellent retention sheets as it slowly recedes. Fig and prune aromas. Sweet dried apricot and pit fruit upfront with a dry, lasting caramel finish. Becomes cloying.

Bottle (75cl corked) at Københavnske Øldage. Clear, copper beer with a beige head. The person serving it expected it to volcano out of the bottle, but it didn’t. Oxidized, woody nose with prunes, raisins, sugar and some alcohol. A bit dry, with hops, spices, dried fruits and alcohol in the flavor. Warming mouthfeel. Long, slightly oxidized finish with alcohol and dried fruits. A nice beer, but a bit oxidized. Didn’t check the date of the bottle. (070512)
