Welcome to one of the most beautiful places in Stein.
For 14 years we, Rik & Lonneke Brouns, have been able to run a beautiful company here, De Fontein Brewery. A craft beer brewery and catering company in which taste experience and Limburg hospitality are paramount. We are in nature, we work with nature. Fruit from our own standard, herbs and fruits from our own vegetable garden, honey from our own bees, we use all of it. Will you come enjoy the beauty of the seasons with us? We produce more than 40 different types of speciality beers. We brew a variety of seasonal beers, where possible using ingredients we produce ourselves while taking account of classic beer flavours.

Bottle @ De Drie Dorstige Herten. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Nose is yeasty, light malted, slightly sour. Flavour is light malted, sour, bit harsh. Medium carbonation.

Bottle at Cafe Frappe. Pours hazy amber orange with an off white head. Aroma of spice, nutmeg, vegetables, cloves and grain. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle shared at Cafe Frappe, Maastricht. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white head. Aroma of fruity hops, light grass and citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium boiled with soft carbonation.

Hefiger, kräuterartig alkoholischer Beginn. Geringe Süße, weich. Herber werdend, die Kräuternoten bleiben. Minimal bitter. Rundes leckeres Bier. 11/11/11/12/8/11

Starke Karbonisierung, süßlich. Runder süßer Beginn, süßlich bleibend, helle Würze mit schmeckbarem aber passenden Alkohol. Etwas hefig. Würziges, schnell verschwindendes Finish. 6/11/11/11/9/11

Hefig-fruchtiger Beginn. Die Aromen sind dabei nur im Vordergrund aktiv, dahinter sehr mild, wenig süß. Kräuternoten, würzig hell, süffig. Nett, könnte aber vollmundiger sein. 13/10/11/9//9

Wässrig malziger Beginn, kraftlos. Geringe Gewürznoten, die im Mittelteil zwar stärker sind aber immer noch nicht überzeugen können. Geringe Herbe. Süßliches Finish, ebenfalls nicht überzeugend. Schwach. 9/6/7/6/4/6
