Venezuela’s national macro lager, with moussy, cream white, stable head and pale golden blonde colour with somewhat greenish hue, cristal clear. Aroma of popcorn, sourish grains, iron and a faint hint of grass. Blandly sweetish, corny taste, grainy sourishness, metallic with thin body and very low to almost non-existent hop bitterness in the finish. Acceptable for what it is but not distinctive in any kind of way, as with all macro lagers.

Pretty putrid. Lots of chemicals and adjuncts. Not a lot else. It gets worse than this but not by much. Bottle brought back.

Bottle split at LKS HeIgHtS, thanks to Daniel, 21/04/15. Pale yellow/blonde topped with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is paper, almond notes, grain, straw. Taste comprises pale malt, grain, light vanilla, straw, cereals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not the worst PL in the world.

Bottle share at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Dan. Almost clear and very pale gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Rice crispies and cornflakes abound in the pale malts. Forensic trace of citrus. Light dry finish. Pretty grim.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear yellow, lightly effervescent. With a foamy white head. Simple sugary pale bread in the nose, grains. Medium sweet flavor with doughy white bread, some vegetables, hay, pale grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish, simple white bread, minimal hop presence. OK.

Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours very, very pale gold with a small white head. The nose is watery, grainy, paper and cornflakes. The taste is crisp, paper, sugary, dull citrus, soap and sweet corn with a dry finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Basic lagery action.

Country #77.Polar Pilsener. 4.5% ABV. Pale golden color without head. Aroma and flavos is very light malty. The same as water with CO2. The best: another new country.

The swampy hop effect is happening on the aroma, along with a bit of citrus, just awful. Okay head and decent light gold body with strong carbonation. Flavour is a lot of rice adjuncts with fusels on the back with a hint of hops. Chemical mouthfeel. If I was to drink swill like this I’d need at least 8% abv to make it worthwhile, which makes this beer a fail.
