Ayrshire Coastal Walking Mini Break Beer#2. Changing trains in Glasgow beer. Slightly deeper clear golden coloured ale. It's a bittered pale ale, but in the gentle side in this respect. Hoppy, tasty enough, although nothing too stated beyond its hopped character.

Hazy gold with a bubbly white head and a fruity nose. Fizzy and a little fruity, citrus bitterness and a dry bitter finish.

[Island IPA 4.5% on the board?]

(Cask at Lyric, Soho, London, 25 Nov 2024) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grass and herbal hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, lemon peel, grass, white bread, a touch of resin and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness. Light body, dry. Refreshing. Quite nice.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 3rd December 2024. Slight haze in the golden pour, white head. End of the barrel I suspect, on the turn and I maybe should have returned it. Mini floral feel, but all a bit weak and subtle flavour wise, not a great experience I'm sorry to say; new brewery for me though!

Cask at the Porch Hose, Stow On The Wold, 23/11/24. Moderate haze to this golden pour topped with a lasting off white head. Nose is straw, grains, faint citric nip, grass. Taste comprises soft malts, mellow citric zest, straw, breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Passable cask pale ... on the bland side of things.

20/11/2024. Cask at The Dove Street Inn Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is flowery, citrus, peachy, light tropical mango and pineapple notes, and a slight rubbery piney edge. A little sweet with light bitterness and body. Thin and watery. Average carbonation. Quite nice for its low abv.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; floral aroma; soft cereal grain body with a sharp citrus taste; then a creamy citrus finish. An odd beer.

Woof. Bitter beyond palatable, bordering on a waxy aftertaste. Glad I only got a half. Anyways…we’re Richmond til we die!
