330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Beautiful chestnut to ruby colour, creamy and lasting tan head. Moderate but pleasant roasty aroma, notes of bakery, coffee and liquorice. The flavour is roasty with notes of burnt bread crust and burnt sugar. Coffee and tolerable hops in the aftertaste. Not too bad for a Spanish beer.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, fizzy, moderate head. Moderate grainy aroma, hints of fruit and honey. Fairly clean grainy and fruity flavour, moderate hops. Alcohol is noticeable, but not unpleasant. A drinkable beer, but not remarkable.

Dark red/brown color, small disappearing head. Aroma: smokey. Not many distinct flavours, except for something smokey and sweet. Aftertaste not spectacular.

25cl bottle: Pours a pale blond colour with a foamy head that forms some lacing eventually. Has a really bready smell going for it. Not too much flavour, but nothing really offensive in the taste either. Some hops are noticeable. Not bad for a pale lager.

Bottle. Clear, dark red body with a medium beige head. Aroma is slightly roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is mild, sweet and slightly roasted. Served cold you may say it’s a dark beer for a hot day.

Can. Pale, golden body with a small white head. Aroma has a vapid maltyness. Flavor is unpleasant harsh bitterness, a bit sweet and metallic. The best thing I can say about this is that the finish is really short. Down the drain.

Bottled. Clear, dark reddish-brown with a small beige head. The nose is a bit roasted and breadcrusts-like, with hints of coffee, but it could use a bit fruityness. The flavor is quite weak, with coffee, breadcrusts and cocoa. Medium-bodied with a quite dry finish with coffee. It lacks fruityness, but it is a quite nice spanish beer. (070208)
