Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark amber color with a huge creamy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left incredible lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with faint orange and vague fruity hops. The flavor was tangy, sweet and a touch bitter with faint vague fruity hops. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied. Surprisingly bland.

Not overly impressed with this one, head was on the weak side, light aroma and taste. I compare all tripels to Karmaliet, so itβs in some tough company. Decent but not outstanding.

Somewhere: I am surprised this has so few ratings considering that it was bottled. Anyway, it pours golden with white head. Aroma is very much that of a lager with a small helping of pumpkin spice. Taste is as expected from the aroma. Solid bready, lightly hopped lager, with a few accentuating spice notes. Generally well put together, but seemingly intentionally forgettable.

This beer is a clear orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet malt, fruit and mild grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Bottle: Pours black, with a large, light brown head. Aroma of dark, smoky, chocolate malt, roast, prune and coffee. Flavour is ashy, dry bitter, coffee, with a tart, nearly sour dark fruit tang. Nothing very oatmeal is indicated, leans more towards tart and dry. Just didnβt do it for me.

Gravity dispense at Capones, Norristown PA, Black Friday bash 29/11/13. Mid black with a good sized tan covering. Nose is rich roast, cocoa, vanilla bean, brown sugars, dark toffee fudge. Taste comprises roast malt, light booze, rich cocoa, vanilla essence, chocolate gateaux. Medium bodied with oomph, smooth on the palate, luxurious chocolate decadence in the closure with a little booze, perhaps a little harsh on this aspect. Decent impy affair regardless.

Tap at the Drafting Room, Exton, 27/11/13. Hazed orange amber with a good sized light beige head that retains well. Nose is caramel malt forward, light hops, bitter orange, biscuit, touch of grapefruit. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange pith, hop notes, subtle grapefruit tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, touch of hop bitterness in a drying finale. Ok IPA,drinkable but lacks any real punch.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden orange color with a small slightly foamy white head. Aroma is nice light hops, some malts, and alcohol with some sweet sugar character here. Flavor was alcohol, booze, sweet cereal notes - yeast. Enjoyable.
