The name says it all. Red brown, bitter with citrus aroma. Very American....

Late 2001 edition: a rye based beer. Nicely zesty - with that great light tingle of nuttiness from rye. Moderate bitterness and smooth sweetness makes this one of the preferable winter beers this year. Amber color with firm lasting head and lacing. Aroma is complex with hints of spice and unusual malts.

Totally authentic German flavor. Citrusy banana-ey spicey flavor. Cloudy golden color. Quenching. Just Right.

Nice brownish color, light to no head - served improperly and very cold. After warming, it was a wonderful malty treat, with a complex tangy and sweet malt profile, with a nice balancing bitterness. Lingering tangy aftertaste (hops or rye?).

This imperial stout is made with honey to boost the gravity, thus qualifying it for the style, but also thus lacking in that rich intensity that characterizes most other imperial stouts. The weird honey dryness seems somewhat out of place, and the remaining slightly roasted malt flavor is slight and without character. Aroma is mainly of honey. Nice dark black color, slight dark brown head.

A bit darker than most tripels, but still it has that slightly dry, yeasty/spicy flavor. Fizzy, with a full bubbly head. Not as characterful as their dubbel, or as most Belgian tripels.

A nice light ale with many lager char's, including a light malt sweetness, light to med body, and restrained hopping. Very balanced, excellent overall flavor, and highly drinkable. A session beer if there ever was one.

At first appearing black in the glass, I found it was actually a beautiful deep garnet red when held to the light. Good sized light tan head lasted a fair length. Aroma was definitely smoky. Flavor was malty sweet and smoky. The bottle-conditioning endowed it with a smooth creamy carbonation and almost velvety mouthfeel. Alcohol presence was noticeable and warming.

Very cloudy - opaque light brown color, almost like an extra-cloudy apple cider. No head, with creamy med carbonation. Aroma is spicy and clovey. Flavor is mainly sweet, with lots of spicy notes of clove and yeasty/breadiness. Medium bodied.
