2$ bottle from chalet. Pour is quite dark almost black with a tan head that fades rather quick. Nice roasty malt aroma. Oh yes, lots of old damp partially burnt campfire wood flavor in this liquid bread. Slight warming sensation on the way to the breadbasket. Boozy in the middle, even more so than many impy stouts. Lots of beef here baby. This stuff means business. Even with its forward alky character, seems to be quite quaffable if you don't chug it down, hehehh. I'd like to drink 3 of these in a row and weather the consequences, LoL. Good example of a heavy dark beer without any of those baltic properties. Imbibable with an everyday stouty appeal.

Dark chestnut brown with moderate tan head. Nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Mildly sweet nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Nice spice prescence without being overwhelming.

Pours clear gold with a small quickly fading white head. Bready, grainy malt aroma. The flavor is of bready, grainy malt, a slight citrus character, and minimal hops bitterness.

I aint no fan of IPA, but from the start, this can has a pretty off taste to me, even for an IPA. It pours clear pale with a white head and the nose is somewhat clean with a tad of lemon peel in there for the olfactory. The taste is what gets me, its very astringent , like beers you'd get from some new rookie wannah be brewer trying to work out the kinks in his brewing process. Phenolic cringe and nasty aftertaste after every swig. Pretty bad. Terrible timmy, nasty nellie, yucky yolanda, brutal billy, rotten rototiller. Almost makes me want to drainpour this stuff. On the label it says 'crisp & clean on the finish' - I disagree with that. What ever, woeful worthless wearisome wendy. There, you have it. I would not even recommend this to my eager eagle IPA loven friends. Just plain rude. I don't even think that St. Arnold would like this beer, hehehehh.
