Sticky sweet off smell that kind of puts this off. Cranberry, raspberry. Some of those souring agents. Stick sweet consistency. Reddish clear pour. Tangy and slightly bitter oaky finish. Tap at brewery.

Definitely a little on the odd side. Ginavit is pretty strong here. Golden pour with ok head. Tangy finish. Not my thing. Tap at brewery.

Better than the ginavit aged version, but that's about all this beer has going for it. Some orange and lime. Golden pour with ok head. Tangy finish. Tap at brewery.

Crisp clear coloured body with a golden glow and the smallest amount of haze noticeable, along with a small off-white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of very resinous and sweet hops with some added honey and sugars and a touch of grapefruit and lemons, but the sweetness dominates, all with a good deal of alcohol and malts here as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malty notes hit first with a big sweetness and hop bite right behind along with some fruitiness and a dash of light pepper punch right at the end. Aftertaste shows some resin, pineapple, flowers and a lot of bitterness from the alpha acids with some grapefruit and a very pungent alcohol bite as well. Overall, a very nice and super flavourful real Imperial IPA that does have a lot of bitterness and doesn't hide any of the alcohol at all - very fruity and pungent, but about what you'd expect for the style! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 27-November-2020 for US$2,79 sampled while here in my hotel room here in New York, New York on 19-December-2020. Additional Rating (07-july-2023) S: resin - pineapple - astringent hops A: hazy golden - thick off-white head T: rich malts - strong syrup - bitter grapefruit P: flowers - ¡balanced yet rich - sweet O: old school imperial - alcohol bite - resinous 12 ounce can - total wine: laurel, maryland - us$2,49 06-december-2022 - sampled: 07-july-2023
