Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

Aromas are adjunct, wet grain and malt. This was my go-to beer in the '80s. A great example when a big brewery buys out a smaller one and ruins the quality for the sake of profit. Now it's a marginally better common adjunct pale world lager. And a beer like this that has some lasting head it's not about quality ingredients but rather foaming agent.

From a twist off 12 oz bottle, this stuff's eye pours clear pale, maybe a little darker, like gold er sumthin. The nose is an off peach olfactory, with a little bit of farm or farmy hay in there. First taste is definitely a little peachy, maybe even some apricot. Good co2 level in this from the bottle. Yes it is tart, but not sure I would call it a tart beer. Well, at 4 and a half ABV, I think I could drink a couple of these and not regret it; its quite fruity refreshing, without getting on my nerves. Better than yer average fruit beer and certainly lives up to the liney reputation. Nothing artificial in taste on this one. Always had respect for Leinenkugel, especially as one of the founders of real craft beers, like Saranac. I typically don't like peach flavored beers, but this stuff is well balanced and OK with me. Nice job LK!

On tap at NRG Stadium. Pours an orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong peach candy, wheat, dough. Thin body, tart peach, wheat, nice flavor just a bit watery in the finish.

Canned June 8, 2020, drunk 1/14/23. Massively gushing can produces a clear, brassy-lemon-pineapple with no head. These aren't offensive in the nose with light lemon and light raspberry essence. Not sugary at least with no chemical. In the mouth it's just a lightly malty beer with no flavor with lemon-raspberry essence. Dry lemon on the finish, not sugary. Bland, fruity, vague. Meh.
