Draft. A dark re-brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, over ripe fruits, and brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of fruit and medium notes of brettanomyces and wood, as well as hints of roasted malt, leading to a dry finish.

Keg at the Euston Tap, 22/01/14. Dark chestnut brown with a big old beige head. Nose is toffee, subtle smoke, oatmeal tones, biscuit. Taste is fairly sweet throughout, toffee fudge, bubblegum, less of the smoke, brown sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet closure. Ok offering, a little overly sweet and sugary, lacks depth for 6.8%, would struggle with more than a half of this.

This double poured a deep amber colour with a nice, big brown head. Scents include ripe fruit, caramel, cooked veggies and spices. First swig was sweet and creamy with flavours of cinnamon and brown sugar most predominant. An almost oily mouthfeel with very low carbonation, it sits quite sweet on the palate. Flavours of caramel and yeast linger...

4-pack of cans, attached with a green handle and holders at the LCBO. Pours a clean copper colour with a frothy beige head, decent retention and a little lace. Sweet malt aromas with some brown sugars, mild dark fruits. The taste is very offensive to me though, with some grass and fish punchiness which completely kills it (don’t get me wrong, I love Vietnamese food with fish sauce and lemongrass, but this is horrible). Thankfully, this putrid flavour does not linger too much and decent sweetness with hints of apples fades away slowly. Nice to have something uncommon and organic, but when something is too "off", it is not a good thing. Too bad I have 3 more cans.
