On tap at the Craft. Clear dark red brown beer, palate is light and semi dry. Mild dark malts. Has a interesting mild medicinal herb thing going on. Not bad, a little unusual.

Nice beldgy pour from this 16 oz can, seller told me to open it over the sink, but it didn’t foam over. Big sizzly brew with a tad of tartness in there makes the 6.5% almost acceptagle. Creamy sizzling fun yea. Some zingy citrus peel in there it seems. Vanishing lacing. Finish rides near bitter medicine but that co2 is really nifty. One of the better beldgy wannah bees I’ve tasted. If it was a little lower in alky, it would be nearly perfect.

Very good looking brew from the 16 oz can, almost brown red maroon. Looks kind of red in sunlight. Rocky head. Smells a little bready. Syruppy initial palate. Oily higher alky bommish thing. Fer sure you can tell this is greater than 8%, no hiding of alky here. Not the most enjoyable beer but it sure looks good in the glass! I get a kick out of the descriptions of some beers; "absolutely delicious, and entirely too drinkable for a beer that’s 8.5% ABV"? haha balderdash - I bet they used the bestess recipe in the world too. Once inside the beer has some odd complexities, rotten fruit and an off woddent thing. Mildly cloying sweet syrup mouth coating oily. Finish is somewhat difficult medicine. I tell you, I have tasted some refine real belgian beers but these belgian style american wanna bees is all they will ever be; wannahbeez. The real belgians know how to make civilized beldgiez. This is not, not impressed with the american attitude of this beer. However, it looks good till the end with its rocky head and dissapearing lacing. Wew, way too much for this lager lover.

On tap at Local Option. Pours a hazy hold with a white that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grain with light citrus note, flora and a bit of light spice. Flavor starts with smooth grains with a bit of light citrus and backing spice.

On tap at the Craft. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light semi crisp palate. Appley. Very very appley. Pale malt and apples. A little caramel. Semi dry finish. Can’t believe this is right, it’s certainly not drinkable.

Can. Dark brown. The aroma is a bit roasty, with a bit of burnt coffee and maybe some dark sugars. Fairly full, creamy body but the malt character is thin. That’s a rare achievement, but not a good one. The taste is accented towards bland coffee and light roast, not a particularly complex beer and the flavour notes unfortunately aren’t the good one you find in genuine Baltic porters.

On tap @ Beer Temple. Brown color, head is beige. Aroma’s of sweet malts, dark fruit, berries, maybe a hint of ash (might have been the smoker next to me who had just come in after a smoke). Flavor is lightly sweetish, fruity, with a starting bitterness. Medium body. Finishes eventually quite bitter, which saves this beer (not a fan on brown).
