On tap. Pours a clear orangey brown with a dense and creamy beige head with an excellent retention leaving a neat lacework. Sweet caramel and subdued roast in the nose. Medium body, again lots of sweet caramel and a little nutty. The finish is dry with subtle hops. Nice but absolutely nothing baconish here. 121211

On tap. Pours with a clear brown body with a small, off-white head (that seems to last). Aromas are estery, nutty, maple, light smoke. Flavors are a bit malty, some fruity esters and very very watery. Minimal if any bacon on the flavor. Really just a bland brown ale at this point. Medium carbonation, lighter bodied. I like the idea.

On tap. Pours with a near black body with a small tan head. Aroma: BOOZY! Molasses, sticky, licorice, light wood notes. Flavors are boozy, licorice, sweetness (yeast seemed to leave a lot left behind). A good amount of fusel. Seems underattenuated. Some spicy qualities. Light bubbles, thick.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing sheets to coat surface. Cocoa and anise aromas. Thin with caramel and chocolate upfront turning to licorice in the medium-length finish.

Pours bright gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet and sour honey aromas. Thin and sweet with grass and sour honey front to back.

On tap. Opaque black with a rough beige head. Tart or even sour aroma that pretty much overpowers the hard roast malt. Medium-bodied, hard roasted malt, slightly pruney with an ashy edge and again a distinct tartness. Hard roast malt bitterness in the finish. Quite rough - even without the infection. 251111

Pours red-tinged brown into a snifter. Tan head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet lemon, lime and chocolate aromas. Medium bodied and sweet with yeast and lime front to back.

On tap at Craft Beer Co. Clear deep red brown colour. Lasting cream head. Sweetish and Belgium like in some flavour elements. Way too sweet. Not much of the spice comes through. Its a bit like drinking caramalised liquid cold brown sugar with a touch of lime sting on the finish. Nothing offensive some Belgian esters. But just generally sweet.

Draft. A pitch blackbeer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, caramel, and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish.

16oz can. Poured a pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma is very light sweet malts, touch of lemony citrus, and a minute note of poppy. Flavor is crisp, clean, a bit boring but the finish has a nice poppy character to it. Interesting.
