Bottle at WBF ’09 Gouda. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, laurel, liquorice. Flavour is rather sweet, caramel, roasted malts, some coffee and liquorice. Light bitter roasted finish. Slightly less than medium bodied.

Bottle @ home, bought @ de Schans. Hazy yellow colour, white disappearing head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, flowers. Flavour is wheat, yeast, curacao, and some other fruity, a bit cloying sweetness. Medium bodied. Not great.

On tap @ Pint Meibockfestival. Hazy amberblond beer. Aroma of fruits, malts and hops. Flavour is soft and sweet, bitter underneath and dry. Nice.

Bottled (as Schans Blond) . Hazy deep golden, small head. Fruity canned peach aroma. Sweet and fruity, some tin and syrup against a grassy background. Finishes with medium bitterness. Lacks the finesse that many de Schans beer has.

Bottled. Cloudy pale amber, fairly rich head. Herbal spices stock out in the hoppy nose. Medium dry with vital maltiness. Really hoppy with notes of estery winegums. Poperinge style hops gives orange marmelade and a long bitter finish. Remarkably good!
