Bottle, 5.8%. Gusher though quite cold. Almost clear dark copper colour. Very big, stable tan head. Fruity, soapy aroma. The flavour is malty with nice aroma hops and a hint of smoke. The aroma hops are soapy and perfumy, not good in the aroma, but OK in the flavour. Good mouthfeel.

Bottle, 7%. Metallic aroma. Almost clear golden colour, sparkling. Big, stable, rocky white head. The flavour is yeasty with some malt. Good spiciness and some grain sourness, but in good balance.

Bottle, 5.2%. Slightly acidic malt aroma. Hazy golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is bready and acidic in the good way. Medium bitterness. Slightly spicy, a lot like a blond.

Bottle, 7%. Malty aroma with good, sweet, teaish hop notes. Very small white head. Clear, shiny copper colour. The flavour is nice and sweet, flowery from the hops. With a hint of yeast aftertaste. Nicely used hops.

Bottle, 6% as Schans Blond. Sour aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is OK malty, but with a little veg. Also some grain sourness, tolerable, though. OK mouthfeel.

Bottle, 5%. Metallic aroma. Almost black colour, small light brown head. Fruity flavour, turns a little roasted. Gets a hint of liquorice as it warms up, but still very thin. Thin mouthfeel. Disappointing.

Bottle from Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Possibly the best Dutch beer I have ever had. The aroma has a considerable hop presence. Gold color, and not quite clear. Flavor has spices and citrus hops as well as yeast. This is clearly recognizable as a saison but the spices. Very good aroma and flavor, it is an assertive beer. Very good.

Bottle at GBBF 2006. Cloudy old gold colour with thick off white head. Yeasty, woody aroma. Oddly sweet. Very carbonated. Rich citrus fruits. More yeast. Bit too sweet and over the top for me.
