Full glass from tap. Dark brown with tan head. Sweet roasted malts, chocolate, spices, figs, dark dried fruit, anise, laurel, licorice, alcohol, gumball coating, rubber, molasses. Big sweet and bitter, strong alcoholic pucker. Full body, heavy feel, low carbonation. Misses typical stout roastedness. I’d file it under Belgian Strong Ale. Has some leathery and rubbery alcoholic notes that are slightly offputting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Winterbier on 07 Jan 2019 at 11:31 - Score: 6

75 cl. ceramic flip-top bottle shared with Niek @ Niek as 't Goeye Goet Jubileumbier for the 10th aniversary of the brewery. Clear dark amber with a small white head. Caramel aroma. Taste is sweet, cloyingly sweet with a light alcohol burn as well. Low carbonation. Not a very good Belgian strong ale/barley wine.
