Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier Festival. Pours dark brown with a moderate beige head Aroma of licorice, red berries, soy, tobacco, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier Festival. Cloudy golden brown pour with an off white head. Aroma of pea soup, light smoke, Elastoplast. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Dreadful.

Bottle sample at PWBF’14. Brown colour, off white head. Aroma of lots of spices, gale, ginger, cardamon, laurel. Flavour is thin though, light spicy, gale, watery, some liquorice. Light-bodied.

Bottle sample at PWFB’14. Murky amber colour, bubbly white head. Aroma of a horrible brewing accident, green peas, earth, liquorice root, smoke, plastic. Flavour is sweet, green peas, smoke, peat, earth, roosvicee. It’s really off. Drain pour material, expected something good here.

Sampled @ PWBF Gouda 2014. Bottle. Slightly hazy orange color, small beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell rotting fish and smoke from green twigs. Taste is slightly less horrible but again that fish, smoke and paint. Oh no, drainpour for me.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Huge gusher head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are yeast, bread, fruits, candy sugar, malt and hops. Very sweet finish.

Bottle. A super-gusher producing a huge, collapsing beige head over a murky brown body. Toffee, some chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Some dark dried fruits too. Some bitterness in the mouth, a touch of alcohol warmth too, and it’s quite fizzy. It’s quite yeasty in the flavor, with toffee and chocolate. Some bitterness in the end. Overall, quite uninteresting, and too yeasty. 140117
